The 19km long Römerweg begins at the Miltenberg museum, at Schnatterloch, the marketplace. The path first leads to the cohort fort, then on to the road station in Hartung and to the site where the "Touton stone" was found. Through the mixed forest, one reaches the foundation of a watchtower, the first proven watchtower, Wp7/6 of the Limes section 7.
A map is provided by the tourist information office at Engelplatz, in the Miltenberg museum.
The route is marked with a yellow "R". 330m altitude difference, much of the route on forest paths.
