Museum Großkrotzenburg

Museum Großkrotzenburg is located in a former school building. It presents the local history on three floors, beginning with prehistory. Roman history is displayed in two rooms. Dioramas portray daily life at the Roman frontier. The military tile factory of the Großkrotzenburg Cohors IV Vindelicorum (c. 200 AD) is a main theme. A tower and the fort's "porta decumana" can be visited on the museum's ground. The walk through Roman Großkrotzenburg also begins here.
