Grave from Kleinwallstadt

After the retreat of the Roman troops trade contact developed between the Alamanni and the Roman Empire.

The grave of an Alamannic woman was found in Kleinwallstadt. In addition to a knife, a spinning wharve, and a comb made of bone, the grave also contained Roman imports. The jug, the thin glass bowl, and perhaps also the gold-plated silver fibula, were made in late-Roman workshops.
