Parade armour - cavalry masks

The iron mask portrays a bearded face and was originally partially silver-plated. The face mask was the front side of a parade helmet which was supplemented in the back by a skullcap.

The parade armour also included colorful feathering, torso armour, and shin guards. The cavalry soldiers wore their parade armour for the cavalry games and also for official parades.
